Introduced in 2011, Wild Turkey 81 Proof was created by Associate Master Distiller Eddie Russell. For a spicy kick, Eddie uses the Wild Turkey famous high-rye mash bill. He then ages the whiskey for 6-8 years, longer than any other whiskey in this "weight class", in hand selected American oak barrels with the famous #4 "alligator char" to get the most flavor from each barrel.
