Excellent value just over on this Right Bank Bordeaux from Pierre Lurton. This a savoury and bright 50% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. Savoury and smoky on the nose with dark berry, violets and underbrush aromas, this medium-plus-bodied red wine blend is also generous on the palate with garrigue herb, blackberry, blueberry, earthy, anise spice flavours and a lengthy, smoky vanilla finish. Tannins are structured and pleasantly grippy
